2018 Grant Awarded: Children’s Advocacy Center of Chattanooga
The 2018 Nightingale Network Grant Recipient, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Chattanooga: The Emma Haney House, received $11,250 in support of their intervention and clinical services for child sex abuse victims. The Children’s Advocacy Center serves those affected by alleged child sex abuse or severe physical abuse by offering help, hope, and healing. The Nightingale Network Grant will be used to support the forensic interviewing step of their intervention services. Forensic interviews are conducted by trained professionals to gather information about incidents of alleged child abuse, and with our support, the Children’s Advocacy Center will be closer to their goal of 100% of child abuse victims having the opportunity to participate in a forensic interview.
